Redskins S Tanard Jackson Suspended A Year For Substance Abuse

ESPN.com is reporting that Washington Redskins safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended without pay one full NFL season for violating the leagues substance abuse policy for a third time. Jackson who lost time due to suspensions while in Tampa Bay, cannot have his case reviewed any earlier than Aug 31, 2013. Jackson was released this off-season by the Bucs and signed by the Redskins after Raheem Morris was signed as defensive backs coach.   He was poised to start at free safety. Jackson was suspended for four games in 2009, 14 games in 2010 and 6 in 2011 when he was suspended again.
