Yardbarker is reporting that USC head coach Monte Kiffin and Penn State running back Silas Redd met and had a good conversation today in Connecticut according to several reports.
USC is thin at running back and Kiffin and his staff feel that Redd is the missing ingredient to a 2013 National Championship.
All American quarterback Matt Barkley and several of his Trojan teammates said that they would fully embrace Redd as a transfer and someone they could relate to.
Redd earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors after running for 1,241 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore in 2011.
