It’s not often that two teams make a trade and win by losing.
The Jets and Rams feel like they both won by subtraction.
ESPN.com is reporting that the New York Jets have traded embattled right tackle Wayne Hunter to the St. Louis Rams for another struggling tackle in Jason Smith.
One disappointing right tackle for another. that’s great business.
Smith the second overall pick in 2009 was an utter failure in St. Louis.
Hunter was being eaten alive by the New York media and fans, and simply needed a change..
“The whole New York City knows that I’ve been struggling for the last year and the last game (I) didn’t do much better,” Hunter said last week upon his demotion. “I was waiting for it, to be honest with you. I knew I was struggling. I knew everything was kind of going south for me.”
They say change always heals the soul. We shall see with these two.
