The T.O. era in Seattle was shorted lived.
ESPN.com is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have decided to cut wide receiver Terrell Owens in order to help trim their roster from 90 to 75 by Monday at 4p.m.
Owens himself let the media and world know himself via twitter.
“I’m no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I’m truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver,” he wrote.
Owens had been out the league since 2010 and surprising got a shot with the Seahawks after an impressive workout.
The mercurial wideout didn’t have many bright moments during the preseason in Seattle.
He’ll probably be most remember for his drop of a Matt Flynn 46 yard bomb that would have been a touchdown.
Even on that play he displayed that amazing athletic ability, only to be let down by those hands.
The future for Owens is bleak at this point. We can only wonder at this point if any team will take a fly on a 38-year-old wide receiver with a penchant for whining and mood swings.
