The St. Louis Rams have recently hinted at running back Steven Jackson’s time coming to end with the organization.
A few weeks ago, the team allowed Jackson to void the remaining two years his deal, guaranteeing that he’ll be a free agent in the off-season.
In the last week or so, there have been reports of multiple teams showing interest in the workhorse running back.
Well we can put all those rumors to bed at this point.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has made it clear that Jackson won’t be moving anywhere.
“The Steven Jackson rumors are rumors,” Fisher said, during a media briefing at Rams Park. “He’s our running back.
“We’re not calling around, nor are we getting calls for that matter. Put that to rest.”
Well he told us.
I’m still not sure of Jackson’s future in St. Louis, but he will remain a Ram for this season.
