Who knew Warren Sapp and Michael Strahan had some sort of beef. Last Saturday Warren Sapp was one of seven former pro football players selected as finalist for the Hall of Fame.
Some of the notable names left off the list were Jerome Bettis, Charles Haley, Tim Brown, and Michael Strahan. Strahan was considered by many a shoe in to make it on his first ballot, so it was shocking when he didn’t get in.
Sapp himself stated he was “shocked to make it in over Strahan,” and during an interview with a Tampa radio station, and took a shot at Strahan, calling him a “media darling.”
“Say if I rewind this to Saturday at 12 o’clock me and you are sitting and I say, ‘It breaks down whatever and whatever and then you have Michael Strahan and me. C’mon, the menace and the media darling,’” Sapp told WDAE in Tampa, via JoeBucsFan.com. “C’mon. Madness, or Good Morning America? I mean, c’mon.”
Strahan did not take kindly to those comments, and via twitter called Sapp out for those remarks per Pro Football Talk.Powered by Sidelines
