Ronde Barber has spent more than 15 years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and was the last intergral piece from those great Buccaneers defenses of the early 2000’s.
Barber was struggling to come to terms with the Buccaneers who are in the midst of a youth movement. Rather than see where he could land as a free agent or go to another franchise, Barber according to Jay Glazer has decided to retire.
Just got off the phone w Ronde Barber who told me he is officially retiring. "I've had a better run than I ever could've dreamed of having."

Barber was selected to five Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. He also led the league in interceptions during the 2001 season. He holds the record for most consecutive starts by a NFL cornerback.Powered by Sidelines
