Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is coming off a season in which he had 118 receptions, 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Those are not bad numbers to get in an offense that was deemed anemic, and caused the head coach to be fired.  Marshall is practicing for the first time since having hip surgery in January, but is ecstatic about the Bears offensive potential with a new regime.

Marshall is so optimistic about Marc Trestman and his new coaching staff, that he told USA Today that this set of coaches is the “best he’s ever been around.”

“I’m ecstatic,” he said. “I’ve never been around better coaches. (Former Bears coach) Lovie (Smith): amazing coach, amazing man. Coach (Mike) Shanahan: amazing coach, one of the gurus of the game. (Former QB coach) Josh McDaniels, one of the gurus on offense. But what we have here in (offensive coordinator Aaron) Kromer and coach Trestman, their leadership on offense is amazing. I’ve never been around it.”
