Redskins’ Brian Orakpo Says He’s Going To ‘Rip It Up’ This Season

Washington Redskins pro bowl outside linebacker Brian Orakpo played all of two games during the 2102 season, before being placed on IR with a torn pectoral muscle.

Orakpo missed RG3′s ascension in the quarterback ranks as a rookie, and most importantly, missed the Redskins sprint to a playoff berth after being counted out.

Orakpo is excited to return, and as he heads into a contract year, he’s intent on ripping it up for the Redskins this season.

“I’m 100, 200, 300 (percent) — whatever that number may be,” Orakpo said Thursday, per the Redskins’ official website. “In OTAs or minicamp, I didn’t miss a day, I didn’t miss a practice. I was ready to go. In training camp, I’m going to be full go.”

“I’m going to rip it up this year,” he said. “I have high expectations. I want to win, be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year, get Comeback Player of the Year.”
