Mike Budenholzer’s start as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks is off to a rocky start.
Budenholzer was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol overnight and charged with driving under the influence according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Budenholzer was pulled over by a state trooper for reportedly not having functioning tail lights. The trooper smelled alcohol on Budenholzer’s breath, administered a field sobriety test, and then arrested him.
Budenholzer refused to take a breathalyzer.
The Hawks released this statement.
