Everyone knows how I personally feel about Allen Iverson, so it’s a bitter sweet moment for me.
Iverson reportedly will be honored by the Philadelphia 76ers during the teams October 30 home opener with an official retirement ceremony according to ESPN.com.
The 11 time All Star was the 1997 Rookie of the Year, the 2001 MVP, a three-time All-NBA First-Team selection and a four-time scoring champion.
He willed the Sixers to the 2001 NBA Finals and is the franchises greatest player in my opinion. He is the franchise leader in 40-point games (76) and 3-pointers (885), and is second behind Hal Greer in points (19,931).
There was no one like the Answer, and unfortunately, I’ll never see him play again.
