Well I guess partial means that Christian Ponder can take 33%. Matt Cassel can have another 33%, and good old Josh Freeman can have the final 33% of blame as well.

Leslie Frazier is one of the nicest men you’ll ever meet.  Unfortunately, being nice doesn’t win football games nor keep you employed.  Frazier and his staff were fired on Black Monday.

One of the hugest criticisms of Frazier was his mishandling of the quarterback situation in Minnesota.  Monday the Vikings first round round bust, Christian Ponder told the Star Tribune that he take some of the blame for Frazier looking for work.

“It was definitely an interesting year,” Ponder said Monday, per The Star Tribune. “And not the way that I thought it would play out or probably anyone wanted it to play out. So with my job, I didn’t play well enough to keep the job and for us to win as many games as we should have. So it stinks knowing that was a contribution to what happened.”

Ponder told the media that he’s aware that Frazier tried to be loyal to him despie his poor play.

“I think he tried to keep giving me a chance and so that was big,” Ponder said. “He gave me a chance just to come here and just be the starter. So I’ll appreciate that. That’s a relationship I’d like to have for the rest of my life. He’s a great guy and gave me that opportunity and it just stinks that it didn’t work out.”

Vikings GM Rich Spielman I guess gets 1% of the blame for drafting Ponder.
