Ohio State will be without one of their main playmakers for the Orange Bowl, and the first two games of next season.
The Buckeyes announced via a press release Wednesday that Noah Spence has been suspended for three games for violating what was only described as a “Big Ten Conference Rule.”
The defensive end will miss Friday’s Orange Bowl date with Clemson as well as the first two games of the 2014 season — Navy and Virginia Tech.
Spence was an All-Big Ten player this season, leading the team with eight sacks and ranking sixth in the conference with 13 1/2 tackles for loss.
Spence did not fly with the team to Florida as he was “working on some personal issues at home.”
