Tulane safety Devon Walker was paralyzed in September 2012 after making a tackle against Tulsa. Today Walker sits in a wheelchair with a ventilator because of his broken neck, but he still showed amazing courage in continuing his education and graduating from Tulane with a degree in cell and molecular biology on Saturday.
Walker attended Saints rookie mini-camp on Saturday, and he said, via NOLA.com, that he thought he was going to eat oysters after practice. Instead, the team surprised Walker by signing him to a deal. Walker said the signing was a dream come true.
