It seems like it took four-years to happen, but the L.A. Lakers may finally have a new head coach.  Chris Broussard is reporting that the Lakers have offered their head coaching position to Byron Scott.

According to the report, the two-sides are in contract discussions as we speak.

Scott, who won three championships as a player with the Lakers, has previous head coaching experience with the New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2001-2002 he led the Nets to a 52-30 record and trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.
