Mark Sanchez has finally found a home, and a place where he’s comfortable, so you’ll have to excuse him if he’s in no rush to relocate to St. Louis.

Sanchez has had an amazing first training camp with the Eagles, and would prefer to continue to learn under Chip Kelly. With the news of the Rams losing Sam Bradford for the season, Sanchez’ name has come up in trade speculation.

According to USA Today, Sanchez doesn’t want to be traded to the Rams or anyone else for that matter.

But if Sanchez has anything to say about it, there’s “no chance” he’d abandon his fresh start as a backup under coach Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles for a shot to rejoin Schottenheimer and play in St. Louis, a person with knowledge of Sanchez’s thinking told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because any trade talks were to remain private.

The 27-year-old Sanchez is thinking about his long-term future, and believes relearning how to play quarterback under Pat Shurmur and Chip Kelly will work wonders for the next time he gets an opportunity to start.

Sanchez is one Nick Foles injury away from seeing the field anyway, so it’s more than likely that he gets plenty of game action in the Eagles uptempo offense that seems catered to his skill set.
