Brett Brown on 76ers Chances Of Landing Durant

The sad thing is, the Philadelphia 76ers have been bad for so long, I’d never be able to convince skeptics that Kevin Durant bringing his talents to this city would be one of the boldest moves seen around the league in some time.

If Durant does choose to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder, he reportedly has a short list of suitors that he’d be willing to listen, and I doubt that the 10-68 Sixers are on that list.

Sixers head coach Brett Brown is a realist, and believes the sentiment as well.

I mean it’s the Eastern Conference, but the 76ers are an good wing player (Durant) — and a point guard away from being real contenders in the NBA.

Pair that with what Sam Hinkie left — Joel Embiid, Dario Saric, as many as four first-round picks, and millions in salary-cap space — I say why not.

Imagine Kris Dunn, Ben Simmons, along with two or three upper echelon free agents, and you have something here. Throw in a new state of the art practice facility, and I say things are looking up.

KD has been linked to the Lakers, Washington Wizards, and Golden State Warriors, but there has to be a surprise team lurking.
