Buddy Hield wants the L.A. Lakers to know that he can handle the pressure of replacing of living legend at the shooting guard spot.
Looking more like Dwyane Wade than the Black Mamba — the former Oklahoma All-American had a nice workout with the Lakers.
It went so well that Hield told reporters afterwards that there is “no doubt” he’s the best shooter in the 2016 NBA Draft — thus giving him the best opportunity to fill Bryant’s shoes.
“This is what the franchise needs,” Hield said. “The Lakers are losing Kobe and they need a scorer. So why not call on me to fill in their spot?”
Most mock drafts predict the Lakers will select Ingram at No. 2 because of his outside shooting and comparison to Kevin Durant — but Hield could be the wild card.
