Denver Broncos Blue And Orange Scrimmage Draws Record Crowd

The Peyton Manning era got underway with a bang in Denver, and it was only a scrimmage.

More than 41,000 screaming Denver Broncos fans showed up for a scrimmage and to get a first hand look at new franchise quarterback Petyon Manning.

It was the biggest crowd to ever show up for a Broncos scrimmage, as well as Manning’s first time as a Bronco in Mile High Stadium.

Manning himself was taken aback by the energetic crowd.

“Well, it was a great crowd,” Manning said after the session.  “I know players were pumped; they were kind of feeding off the energy of the fans and everybody was into it.  It will be a good film to learn from on Monday once we study.  I thought there were some good things, and some things we need to work on, obviously, but overall, it was a productive day, in my opinion.”

Broncos brass said you can expect Manning to see significant action during this preseason to help knock off some of the rust he accrued from missing a whole season.

Even if it was only a scrimmage, all is well in the NFL again.

Welcome back Peyton Manning, the game missed you.
