Durant on His 1st Time Playing With Klay, Draymond

It technically wasn’t his first time playing on the same team as Draymond Green and Klay Thompson because of past USA Basketball experiences.

On Friday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas — it was Durant’s first opportunity to hit the floor with Green and Thompson as Warriors teammates.

“I didn’t really notice. I was just lost in the game,” Durant said following his team’s convincing 111-74 victory over Argentina on Friday, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. “We didn’t really talk about it.”

“All I saw was USA across the chest. When you’re playing out there with players who know how to play the game of basketball, it just makes it so easy for you.”

Playing his normal brand of efficient basketball — KD led all scorers with 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting in just 20 minutes of action.

Green and Thompson also both admitted that they didn’t notice being on the court with Durant as well.

“When you’re out there right now, you don’t even think about the fact that we’re teammates,” Green said. “We’re all teammates right now. Honestly, if you want me to be quite frank with you, I didn’t even notice me, Klay, and KD were out there together.”
