Ex-Clemson QB Tajh Boyd Arrested For Roughing Up Club Bouncer

Former Clemson star quarterback Tajh Boyd was arrested in Greenville, SC on an assault and battery charge after a nightclub incident in July.

Boyd was booked after he allegedly shoved a doorman, who had informed him he would have to wait in line to enter the club.

The doorman told Boyd the club was at capacity and he would have to wait in line just like everyone else, according to a police report based on the victim’s account. An argument ensued and the doorman told Boyd he needed to leave.

Boyd then “shoved him with two hands in his chest causing him to fly through the door way knocking another female and himself to the ground,” according to the police report.

Boyd was the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2012. He set conference records for passing yards (11,904) and passing touchdowns (107) during his three years as the Tigers’ starter.
