Joakim Noah is happy to have Derrick Rose back in the fold — relieved to be done with the “distraction” that was the point guards civil rape case.
“It’s great the truth came out,” Noah said Wednesday, according to the New York Post’s Marc Berman. “We didn’t have a point guard for all of preseason. All because of a girl who was trying to make money off my friends … is just wack.”
Noah — who will likely catch flak for his chose of words regarding that young lady — said Rose is “a tough kid” who was the main reason he signed with New York.
“We spent a lot of time working out together over the summer,’’ Noah said. “He was in great spirits, but you could tell, having something like that is heavy.’’
Rose was cleared of all charges in the sexual assault trial Wednesday.
