I was one of the few people who thought maybe Xavier Henry should have stayed at Kansas a little longer than the one season he chose to spend in Lawrence.
Henry was selected by Memphis with the 12th overall pick in 2010, and was traded to New Orleans in January 2012. He has started 18 games in his three-year NBA career.
Henry, trying to save his floundering career, has agreed to a deal with the Lakers. Henry will compete for a roster spot in training camp with Shawne Williams, Marcus Landry and rookies Elias Harris and Ryan Kelly.
The 6-foot-6 swingman appeared in 50 games for the the Pelicans, averaging 3.9 points and 1.8 rebounds.
