No Lance Briggs isn’t running around predicting a super bowl appearance for the Chicago Bears. He does like their chances tho.
During a telephone interview Tuesday via ESPN Chicago, the Bears other Pro Bowl linebacker explained why he feels this could be the best Bears team he’s ever been apart of.
Briggs stated that the word “Championship” is something he and his teammates never run from.
“We’ve been doing that ever since Lovie (Smith) became head coach,” Briggs stated.
“Never to forget the ultimate goal.”
The Bears have made a few significant moves to upgrade the roster.
They added a familiar target for Jay Cutler in WR Brandon Marshall. They brought in a quality back up in Jason Campbell just in case Cuter is injured.
The Bears added depth at running back by acquiring Michael Bush who also can be insurance if star running back Matt
Forte holds out.
Forte still has not signed his $7.74 million franchise tender and is looking for a long-term deal.
The Bears have a quality team but it remains to be seen if they can overtake the Packers in the NFC North.
