Melo Guarantees Syracuse upset over North Carolina

I mean what is the one of the most important figures in Syracuse Athletics supposed to say?

10th seeded Syracuse is a powerhouse playing the role of Cinderella entering the Final Four and it won’t get any easier — with No. 1 North Carolina, their opponent on Saturday night.

Anthony — the most accomplished player in school history because of his National title as a freshman — all but guaranteed an Orange win over the Tar Heels.

“We’re going to beat them,” Anthony told reporters Wednesday night. “Guarantee? Yeah. We’re the underdogs for sure. You can’t just win off momentum. You got to go out and play the game. It’s not going to be a walk in the park, but I feel we’re going to get them. I have a feeling.”

Anthony led Syracuse to its lone NCAA title in 2003, and reportedly phoned the Orange locker room after the amazing Elite 8 comeback win over Virginia.
