Nova was always the consensus favorite of all four No. 1 seeds to fall first, but no one expected this bad of a performance.
The Wildcats were an awful 9-for-28 from deep, and shot under 30% from the field as a group. Last year, as a No. 2 seed, it was Connecticut that ended Villanova’s season prematurely.
