Riley Cooper Fined By Eagles For Using Racial Slurs

Riley Cooper has been fined by the Philadelphia Eagles after being caught on video uttering racial slurs at a Kenny Chesney concert in June.

Cooper met with Chip Kelly, Jeffrey Lurie, and Howie Roseman and everyone involved agreed he should be fined.  Cooper then met with the Philly media, after practice.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had the following to say regarding the incident.

“We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”

The NFL released a statement as well.

“The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion. Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable.”
