Earlier this month, 35-year-old Tony Romo was presented with the Nancy Lieberman Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of the work he has done with children and charitable organizations for young people.
During his 10-minute acceptance speech, Romo thanked everyone involved and then let it slip that the Cowboys will next years Super Bowl.
“This award is very meaningful to me, mostly because I get to be associated with this and to be associated with Nancy,” Romo said, as noted by Louis DeLuca of The Dallas Morning News. “It’s incredible and I really appreciate you, and we’re going to win a Super Bowl next year. Thank you.”
