Percy Harvin said he wanted out, and Viking general manager Rick Spielman said no shot of a trade. In the end Harvin became a bigger headache than the Vikings wanted, and today Minnesota traded Harvin to the Seahawks for three drafts picks, including Seattle’s 2013 first round pick.
Jay Glazer reported the breaking news earlier today.
Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported on Monday that the Vikings have agreed to a trade that will send Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for a trio of draft picks. Once Harvin passes a physical, the Vikings will receive the Seahawks‘ first-round (No. 25 overall) and seventh-round selections in 2013, along with a mid-round pick in 2014.
Seattle will now be burdened with trying to give Harvin a long-term deal in the $10-12 million range. It adds another weapon for Russell Wilson and a physical seahawks offense.
