I believe it was just a regular photo opportunity, but the Wahoo’s definitely could used this for the team photo as well.
In a powerful message of unity in the ACC — The University of Virginia men’s basketball team posed for a photo as a sign of unity against social injustice Thursday night.
The team — dressed in all black with arms interlocked, knelt at midcourt of the John Paul Jones Arena practice floor.
Several players posted photos of the powerful moment — tweeting “Kneel for Injustice, Kneel for Equality” — while Senior guard London Perrantes tweeted the image and the quote saying — “Using our platform to help [create] change. TOGETHER!”

"One of the great liabilities of history is that all too many people fail to remain awake through great periods of social change. Every society has its protectors of status quo and its fraternities of the indifferent who are notorious for sleeping through revolutions. Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change." -MLK. Kneel for Injustice. Kneel for Equality. It means so much that we could come together and do this as a team. Regardless of the attention that this gets and the positive and negative responses know that I'm with y'all . Thank you ✊🏽
