Was Ben Simmons “Too Big” For LSU? (Video)

I don’t agree with Colin Cowherd too often, but he was spot on with this analysis of Ben Simmons wasted time and talent at LSU.

Despite averaging a double on the season — the likely No. 1 pick did harm to his brand by missing out on the tournament and getting blown out in his final collegiate game.

Cowherd of FS1 believes that Simmons was too big for a program like LSU, and should have went the route of Kentucky or Kansas like the other one-and-done prodigy.

“He can’t go to LSU. The players resented him, the coaching was weak, the players were weak,” Colin said. “Ben Simmons was too big for LSU. Stars should go to Kentucky, stars should go to Kansas.”

Some of Simmons issues are his own fault — as he’s responsible for lacking a “competitive” fire that will questioning his lack of interest in winning championships at the collegiate level.
