The Associated Press is reporting that Subhanna Beyah was arrested for a string of high-end jewelry thefts, that included robbing Giants defensive tackle Shawn Rogers for $500,000 worth of jewels.
In late March, Rogers and some of his friends met Beyah while partying at a Miami nightclub. Rogers says they all went back to his hotel room, and in the morning he woke up to almost $500,000 worth of jewelry missing from the safe in his room.
According to the Associated Press, authorities confirmed that the 25-year-old Beyah,was wanted for multiple larcenies involving stolen jewelry and cash.
She was arrested on fugitive-from-justice charges in Queens, N.Y., and arraigned Sunday morning on the fugitive warrant.
Among the items Rogers said were stolen included, diamond earrings worth $100,000; two wristwatches worth a combined $160,000; a gold necklace with gold pendant worth $50,000; gold bracelets worth $60,000; and a diamond Cuban necklace with a gold pendant worth $70,000.
